That was the name of our latest "Ladies Night Out" destination, a hot little place in downtown San Diego, listed on the top 10 bars in the WHOLE U.S. OF A.!!!
At the recommendation of Annette, and under the direction of Nariman, we six troopers gathered to eat, drink and be merry beneath the ever-changing hues of the overhead lighting...much more impressive after the sunset, I must say.
Though the poles were too thick for any good dance moves, the exposed brick walls, accompanied by white leather sofas and ottomans added to the chic design, and the colossal globes were an exquisite touch. I am NOT speaking of our hot waitress' chest, either! Is it fair that we had to look at that all night?! AND the legs??!!! At least we know Dr. Reavie (in Poway was it?) is a skilled surgeon! Courtney, if you read this, we are all hoping you make it in the "broadcasting" world. You certainly CAST THIS BROAD into depression! If you need headshots, call me for sure. Such a cutie!
I digress.
The food and drinks were all half -price until 8 p.m. so we got our orders in early! Fabulous food, and since the menu featured Tapas, we were all able to sample many delectible dishes! The portions were "Americanized", and two tapas made a nice meal. Especially when accompanied by 4 to 5 Vodka-Cranberries!
Leading the conversation on some topics was our "most knowledgable" Melissa, featured here in Annete's glasses, and her very best "HOT FOR TEACHER" pose!
Kat was visibly shocked by some of her new-found information.
Topics included my recent trip to Chicago, upcoming vacations, "exits" and "entries", Cougarpalooza, rabbits, and of course, our darling waitress. I finally got into a photo! Thanks again, Courtney!
Afterwards, most headed back to the comfort and safety of our lovely Crosby neighborhood. Fresh from my "blogging" convention in Chicago (I kid you not), I cajoled Annette into a quick walk-a-bout in SD. After some shopping, we were offered (by street corner promoters) free rides on a mechanical bull (I kid you NOT!) at a local country pub called Double Deuce. Off we went.
Annette had to don overalls over her long dress, but just so you know, we both rode the bucking bull past the 8 second cut-off.
Twice.
I have video.
The next event, COUGARPALOOZA at my house on August 11th, is not to be missed!
If you did not receive the e-vite, call me ASAP!!
