How appropriate the title, as well as the name of the band! Coincidence? I think not! For some reason, I always feel compelled to name my posts after songs. You will get used to it. If you want, you can also check out my other blog, http://www.mommedy.blogspot.com/. I could use some action over there! (Oh, let's face it. I can ALWAYS use some action!)
I ran out of room for all the photos on the "Google Groups" page I had set up, so this forum will, hopefully, allow all of you Crosby-otches to see the photos from our "events", and comment as you see fit. In order to comment, you will have to set up a Google account. We lose out on having a referral page for our awesome vendors, but we can always put out an e-mail, right?
So, here we go...first up is the great February 2009 Bunko party hosted last night by Carrie Wilhite, a.k.a. "Carrie (not the dentist)". Her pajama party themed event was one of the most fun and "comfortable" yet, as evidenced in the following photos!

Kat and Judy are all smiles!
Dina, you just had a baby? You MUST be joking...you look MAHVELOUS!!!!
Pajama Party? What a great theme, Carrie!!!
Carrie (the dentist), Carrie (not the dentist),
Corene, and Cathi. All C's...hmmm...."C's the moment"?
Melissa's "snuggie" does not compare to "Ugg boots and a scarf", but that is a theme for another party!
Carrie (the dentist) and Lauren!
It's amazing what a little maribou and a glue gun can get ya! (I HAD to put these in...I had to make them to match my leopard "Cougar" pajamas!)
On hand at the party to "lend a hand", was Stephanie, the masseuse, who gave us all 5-10 minute chair massages in a candle-lit guest room. What a treat! I ALWAYS love to be "rubbed the right way!" Don't you?
It was confirmed: We are a bunch of "knotty girls". The expressions on our faces as we came out of the "massage room" were all identical! I can't believe I didn't get photos of that!
Lauren (r) eyes the goodies, while Carrie (the dentist) (l) prepares for her "rice manicure".
Carrie (NOT the dentist)'s scrumptious display of delicious Mexican-style food featured an amazing chicken tortilla casserole, refried beans, fantastic home-made guacamole, pico de gallo, rice, yellow and blue corn tortilla chips, with a lovely appetizer display of fruit and cheeses to compliment the meal.
Also provided were wines from her vintner cousins' winery...something to keep in mind when gift-giving rolls around..."superb", according to the non-Kahlua drinkers. Will post the name and a link soon!
Dessert was off the hook! "Nothing Bundt Cake" made the spectacular Red-Velvet bundt cake fashioned like a daisy, which Melissa loved so much, it was a "religious experience"! ( A special "shout-out" to the wreath over Carrie's stove for "playing" the halo!)
The heavenly cake was accompanied by heart-shaped brownies, as well heart-shaped chocolate dipped rice crispy treats! Turns out, Carrie's impossibly adorable and well-behaved children helped to make them!
Melissa brought home-made chocolate chip cookies, and Lisa made her chocolate frosted brownies, as usual. Tom was VERY HAPPY to have many of my brownies returned home after the party!
Conversations ran the gamut from paint and hardwood flooring swatches, to 3 A.M. war movies, the way our hubbies get in and out of bed in the middle of the night, to "pumping" schedules. (this last topic has nothing to do with our husbands "middle of the night" routines, so don't get your knickers in a twist...Sherri and Dina have new babies! Now that I think about it, it all DOES lead back to...oh, I digress!)
As usual, no Bunko was played, but we all enjoyed each other's company, and thank Carrie for her warm hospitality! Better friends cannot be found.
As Aerosmith says..."put your kitty in the middle..."
Until next time, Crosby-otches...
